Amsterdam

Amsterdam

I’ve been to Amsterdam twice. The first time was with 2 off my bff and the second time with group of girls for hen night.

Amsterdam is a really nice place for a quick vacation. They had good food, lots of cheese, coffee shops.

The Hen Trip – 2009
I think almost 20 of us were there for Tasha’s and Aiza’s hen night. Girls just want to have fun. I was a bit sick but I pull myself to go. It always nice being sick somewhere else other than your home.
We had dinner at the Hard Rock Café that night. We also had a nice breakfast next morning. We went to this nice pancake place.

The first trip – 2007

As we arrived, our hostel was in city centre itself so it’s very convenient to walk around. We walk along the canal, coffee shops, had Indonesian cuisine for lunch.

Second day we went for the canal cruise and Rhea managed to bought a Louis Vuitton before that too.

Kerry

Ring of Kerry

It was our anniversary weekend and we decided to go to infamous Ring of Kerry. I’ve been there before with my bff and her family.

We went to the ring of Kerry alrite but didn’t manage to take any picture because it was too dangerous to stop and take picture. It was beautiful alrite.

We went to Dingle of the next day. In theory we should be able to see dingle the dolphin if we go on the boat but it was close that day.

Food – We brought food from home so we can have picnic on the way. We had our lunch at Moneygall. I remember we Obama went there as well when he had his visit to Ireland before.

We had a lovely breakfast at our B&B. I remember the wifi was so bad. My cousin and my friend went to the lobby just to get a better connection.

We had fish and chips and Dingle town. It was raining but I think we managed to grab some souvenirs.

We had a quick visit at Kildare Village before we head home. Had their pasta there. It was tasty.

Donegal, Sligo

Donegal, Bundoran, Sligo

So Umar, Aidan, Qisya and aunty bee had it plan to go to Bundoran so we will have a holiday together. We rent a 4 bedrooms house to keep us together. They also have 4 bathrooms. The kitchen was lovely and we cook a lot there. Daddy even brought curry paste and ginger.

We brought lunch on departure so we will have nice picnic on the way. But it was raining until we get to the house. We had lunch at the house instead. We had noodle and sandwiches. The journey was about 3 hours from Dublin.

The boys went for groceries shopping after that and hubby cooks dinner.

We want to go to beach on next day because it supposed to be nice on a sunny day but typical summer in Ireland it was raining that day. We decided to go to a waterpark instead. It was something different because we never visit any waterpark in Dublin. The water in kids pool are a lot warmer than adult. I find myself keep bringing Umar there just for a better water. It was fun and different.

Then we when get home and had barbeque I think. We brought chicken from Dublin. We have nice breakfast on next day as well.

On the way home next day we visit Bunduran beach for a quick one. Then bought some souvenirs. Daddy loves the souvenirs so much.

Then we went visit a beach in Sligo. We were lucky because it was really a nice day. Umar finally get to know the sand and the sea.

We even have icecream. First icecream for Umar.

Cork

Cork

So we went to Cork so I can redeem the voucher that I won during the Bake- off competition at the Ballymaloe. But the voucher only for one night. I have to say this trip is the most relax holiday I ever have.

We travel to Cork so I decided to stay in Travelodge. I have to say I love Travelodge because the bathroom have bathtub at a very reasonable price and also parking. Won’t complain about the bed and room because they very clean and neat.

After check in we went for a quick bite at the café in the Travelodge.

Ramen for dinner. A friend of us work there  but we thought the restaurant in the town but it’s actually outside town but close to the Cork University. Food was awesome. Even Umar loves it.

We went to Ballymaloe next day. Didn’t realise the place is very private. Suit whoever to want to relax. It’s beautiful. The food is tasty. Probably will have to go there again because I have another voucher to redeem.

There’s play area for Umar. There’s also swimming pool but I think it’s a bit public so not suitable for mummy. But that’s ok because Umar happy with the sand area and the slide.

No tv, internet coverage very low and kids not allowed in dining hall after 7. We end up order room service because don’t really want go out because not familiar with the road and street. The 7 meal room service was really nice.

We went for another walk around the city next day. We had kebab.

Pisa Florence Rome

2 weeks in Italy

We were there before Christmas until after New Year’s Eve. How long is that.

We flew to Pisa so we can see the Pisa tower. But we only managed to see the tower on the next day since we only arrive at the night before.

Then we took an hour train to Florence. I love Florence. So many good foods. We also met Afiq, he work and study there and he invited us for pasta. How lovely.

Piaza Michaelangelo – The statue

Duomo – Duomo are everywhere

Ponte Vecchio – The bridge with lots of market

Most of shops in European country closed on Sunday. We were a bit worry if we wouldn’t find anything to eat on Christmas day. But lucky us we found food.

Then we took 3 hours train to Rome the day after Xmas. So many things to do in Rome. The Colloseum, the fountain, the Panther, the Spanish Steps and lots of shopping outlet too. I got my very 1st Louis Vuitton here too. When you see even dog wearing LV you definitely want one of them. I had so much fun visiting those boutiques

German

The German visit 2009
August - Summer
Since Zu is going to go home for good this year she wanted to visit Ain in Achen, Germany. I think we flew to Koln and Ain and husband fetch us and brought us to their house. Ain was so nice and I enjoyed her hospitality so much. She cooks a lot for us. I remember having delicious karipap, mee bandung and bubur ayam during the stay.

Since their place is very close to Brussels she also took us a trip to Brussels for the chocolate, mannequin pis, grand palace, paella. We also pay a visit to the Brussels mosque at that time.
